After getting our visa from the Turkmenistan Embassy this morning, we escaped the smog and heat of Teheran to explore the surrounding Darband mountains (peaking at about 4000m).
Fresh air, stretching legs, (even a bit of adrenalin!) just what we needed to find our balance again.
Tomorrow we will take the train to head East to Mashad, a well-known Shiite pilgrimage site.
